Advise your insurance company that you want JDS Collision to handle your repairs. We’ll walk you thru the process.
The timeline depends on several factors. Our specialists will provide you with an initial estimate based on the visible damage, but please note that factors like the severity of the structural damage and the availability of replacement parts can affect the schedule. We understand that being without your vehicle is inconvenient, so we prioritize completing repairs efficiently while ensuring your vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition safely and as quickly as possible.
The duration of the repair process is directly related to the severity of the damage. Minor cosmetic repairs, such as scratches or small dents, can often be completed quickly. However, extensive structural damage requires more time for our technicians to properly dismantle, repair, and reassemble the vehicle according to manufacturer specifications. Our primary objective is to ensure the repair is completed both efficiently and safely.
While we keep common parts in stock, we might need to order specific items for your vehicle once the assessment is finished. Our team will give you an estimated timeline for the work, but keep in mind that this depends on when the parts arrive. Occasionally, things like factory delays, backorders, or shipping issues can slow things down. We know you want your car back, so we’ll work as quickly as possible to get you back on the road once everything arrives.
Yes, once the vehicle is disassembled, there may be hidden damages that were not initially visible during the preliminary assessment. These damages are common after an accident and can only be identified once the affected areas are properly exposed. If any additional issues are found, we will document them thoroughly and provide you with an updated estimate for the necessary repairs. Rest assured, we will communicate with you throughout the process and address any concerns you may have.
Our technicians are qualified to repair all makes and models, including domestic brands and luxury European vehicles. With experience spanning a broad spectrum of vehicle types, we ensure every repair adheres to original manufacturer standards, regardless of complexity.
Most cars today are built using unibody construction, meaning that the frame and body of the car are welded together. That means that usually, when your car is involved in a collision, it will have some type of movement to the unibody. With our specialized equipment, we are able to straighten or replace the damaged part to within factory approved specifications.
Insurance companies vary on how they make payments but ultimately you the customer are responsible for all costs pertaining to the repair of your vehicle. Please note that JDS Collision requires full payment upon return of your vehicle to you, so ask your estimator questions regarding how your insurance company processes payments. For instance:
*If the shop is a DRP shop with the insurance company, the insurance company will pay us directly.
*Supplement payments for repairs to hidden damages while the original repair is in process, as well as for additional parts might arise.
*Deposits are usually required on specialty vehicles and special order parts.
Your estimator can answer all your questions.
Please keep in mind that your deductible is your responsibility and must be paid at time of delivery.
